The position of Social Media Strategist & Program Manager is responsible for conceptualizing, strategizing and executing social media initiatives that directly impact the bottom line of clients and our agency by amplifying the results from traditional marketing and public relations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Define and deploy social media best practice guidelines for clients and agency.
  • Assist in developing social media strategies for clients and agency.
  • Closely collaborate with both internal and external teams to execute, manage and optimize the performance of social media initiatives across social media networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
  • Develop compelling content and messaging to post to various platforms
  • Interface with bloggers to secure coverage/mentions for clients and agency.
  • Outline detailed strategy briefs and statements of work for client campaigns.
  • Create and facilitate live and web-based presentations and trainings related to social media for agency clients, account teams and partners.
  • Participate in new prospective clients engagements as a social media expert and strategist.
  • Evaluate, test and recommend and utilize social media tools and platforms as needed.
  • Establish proper performance metrics for each client campaign, track campaign performance, deliver performance insights, analysis and detailed reports.
  • Stay current with industry, competitive, and technology trends and translate this into actionable plans for AIS Media and its clients.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills and proven ability to champion social media to multiple stakeholders: clients, client legal teams, planning team, digital team and outside agencies/partners.
  • On occasion, travel to clients’ offices and attend industry events.

Required qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a BS/BA (or equivalent) in marketing, communications, journalism, or related discipline with at least a 5 year successful track record in a related field. Agency work experience is highly preferred.

  • BS/BA in marketing, mass communications, journalism or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5 year professional experience and proven track record in public relations and/or marketing, preferably in an agency environment.
  • Strong understanding and familiarity of the social media landscape and technologies for business use.
  • Active user of and contributor to major social media sites like Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, as well as blogs, photo sharing, video sharing and bookmarking sites.
  • Working knowledge of third-party social media tools and platforms, Google Analytics, URL shorteners, web analytics, etc.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills with an excellent ability to deliver engaging and compelling presentations.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving abilities
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including strong proficiency in mathematics.
  • Proven track record in successfully collaborating with diverse teams, keeping multiple projects on schedule under tight deadlines.

Position Details
This is a contract or contract to permanent position at AIS Media’s Atlanta Georgia corporate headquarters available to individuals residing in the metro-Atlanta area only. AIS Media’s full-time employees enjoy a competitive salary, performance incentives, medical and retirement benefits, paid vacation and holidays, flexible schedules and advancement potential. This position may require occasional travel to AIS Media’s client offices and to industry events.
